Office of Water Conservation and Drought Planning -Grant Requests -Green Industries <br />of Colorado (GreenCO) Water Efficiency Grant Request <br />Tape 1, Track 1 00:55:50 - OL13:>6 <br />Action: A motion was made by Eric Willcinson and seconded by Harold Miskel to <br />approve staff recommendation that the Board a~~-ard a Water Efficiency- Grant in <br />the amount of $72,433 to GreenCo to aid in achieving their goal to enhance and <br />expand existing GreenCo water conservation BMPs in order to promote <br />landscape water conservation in Colorado, both ~yithili the green industi~- and <br />among water providers and local governments. The motion w1s approved (8-1). <br />7. Water Supply Protection Section -Impacts to streams from oil shale and oil and gas <br />developments on the Western Slope -Cathy ILay of the Western Colorado Congress <br />discussed the impacts of oil shale and oil and gas development on Colorado's streams and <br />rivers, including salinity impacts, sedimentation and impacts to streamflo« s. <br />Tape 1, Trackl 01:36:3 - 02:02:08 <br />Action: Informational item only, no action taken. <br />8. Water Supply Protection Section -Request to obtain authorization to eipend funds fi-om <br />the Litigation Fund to defend and protect Colorado's allocation of ~~-ater from the <br />Colorado River. <br />Tape 1, Traclc 1 02:40:51 - 02:45:46 <br />Action: A motion was made by Carl Trick, and seconded by Geoff Blakeslee to approve <br />staff recommendation that the Board, 1) authorize the expenditure of additional <br />moneys not to eiceed $615,452, for the costs of litigation associated ~yith the <br />defense and protection of Colorado's allocation of ~yater in the Colorado River; <br />2) direct the CWCB Director and Staff to eipend these fiords in a manner <br />consistent ~yith the request by the Office of the Attorney General; and 3) direct <br />the CWCB Director, CWCB staff, and Office of the Attorney General to comply <br />«ith the annual reporting requirements as specifically provided for in Section 37- <br />60-121(2.5). The motion ryas approved unanimously (9-0). <br />9. Stream and Lake Protection Section -Pretrial Resolution -Case No. 1-02CW334; <br />Application of St. Vrain and Left Hand Water Conservancy District <br />Tape 1, Track 1 02:45:47 - 03:05:22 <br />Action: A motion was made by Eric Willdnson and seconded b~- Harold Miskel to <br />approve staff recommendation that the Board authorize staff and the Attorney <br />General's Office to enter into a stipulation ~yith the St. Vrain & Left Hand Water <br />Conservancy District that incorporates the proposal set forth in the Board memo, <br />including a no precedent provision. and contains terms and conditions to prevent <br />injui~T to the Board's ISF ~yater rights on South St. Vrain Creek. The motion was <br />approved unanimously (9-0). <br />10.
