Non- <br />reimbursable lm•estmcnts arc approved only +vhen the pr~icct or study is of state++idr interest and <br />hrncfits a wide range ot• people and organiruions, andbr a large geographical area . <br />This is a study and activity of Statewide interest benefiting all the citizens of the State that <br />rely in whole or in part on water diverted from the Colorado River. "fhe recent drought <br />conditions and increasing demands have demonstrated that a curtailment of uses of Colorado <br />River water is possible. 'I'hc State of Colorado needs to assure that shortages are shared <br />equitably among the Colorado River Basin States and (vlexico, opportunities to augment the <br />Colorado River System in Mexico fully evaluated and that actions within tilexico will nut <br />frustrate those efforts.
