(Attach scope of study, if available) <br />E3oard start' has either heen monitoring or working on issues asstx,ated kith the development of shortage <br />criteria for 'viexico, opportunities in \lexico to augment the Colorado River System, and water supplies for <br />the Colorado River Delta in 4icx,ecr. fhe overall purpose for this expenduure of S I SA,QO(1 is to protect <br />Colorado's compact apportionment in the process. Phis will he done in cooperation with the Departments <br />of Interior and State. the Bureau of Reclamation, the EI3~4'C' and the Colorado River Basin States and major <br />water and power users. The geographtc focus of thts effort will he nn the Colorado River and Colorado <br />River Delta in Mexico, As the TB~VC discusses these issues with ytexico it may become necessary for <br />Colorado to become more deeply involved in those discussions m order to protect the States' interests in <br />('olurado Kiver water. <br />
