Check one. <br />"Chis fiuttiing will supply cost share dollars for certain <br />augmentation work that will increase the water supply of <br />the Colorado River System, such as the coordination and <br />implementation of tamarisk removal through out the <br />basin. <br />General location of the study or dernonstr~ation project. (Attach scope of study, it available) <br />Board stafT has been participating in a joint study sponsored by the Southern Nevada ~b'ater <br />Authority for the Colorado Rig°er Basin States looking at both short-ternr and long-term options for <br />augmenting the water supplies of fire Colorado River System. Two potential short-terns <br />augmentation options have been identified at this time, weather modification and tamarisk <br />removal. As projects along these lines are identified, the Colorado River Basin States have agreed <br />to cost share in these efforts. Phis request is to provide funding for Colorado's cost share in those <br />efforts. The Colorado River Basin States will utilise these funds in conjunction with any federal <br />dollars or doll<us from other sources to fund work in agreed upon augmentation efforts. The <br />overall purpose for this expenditure ofS150,000 is to protect Colorado's Compact apportionment. <br />
