Grandview Regional Park Development <br />Also rated important is the Grandview area regional park near Durango that is in the <br />planning stages, With significant potentials to link open space, sports fields, regional trails. <br />and equestrian facilities. Silver <br />Thread, and Alpine loop Byways <br />· Mesa Verde National Park planning and improvements <br />· Canyons of the Ancients National Monument trail development consistent with <br />archaeological resources protection <br /> <br />2. Infrastructure and Public Access Priorities <br /> <br />Hiah Priority PrOiects <br />A. Capacity enhancement projects <br />Forum participants place highest priority on capacity enhancements from the major <br />roadways adjacent to community parks and pUblic lands. <br />· Mesa Verde transit, internal to the park as welt as regional connections, including a <br />potential aerial tramway from the Cortez area <br />· Highway 160 improvements, eSpecially bike lanes, systematically locating public land <br />access areas. and sanitary facilities at pUblic land access sites <br />· Regional public transportation between major communities and popular recreation <br />sites.
