<br />Yampa/White/Green Basin Roundtable Technical Meeting #2 <br />Meeting Summary <br /> <br />. Stagecoach enlargement Tier I - it is moving forward raising the dam 5 to 6 feet; 4,000 to <br />5,000 AF of additional storage but environmental planning is slowing project completion. <br />Would like to see help from state on environmental issues. Fringe wetland issue 20 acres <br />needs to be mitigated. <br />. The Nature Conservancy could help ID projects for wetlands. <br />. RICD - YampajSteamboat kayaking, fishing, tubing being sought by the City of Steamboat <br />Springs. <br />. A Little Snake River project is being discussed in conjunction with Wyoming Water <br />Development Commission and Little Snake District in Baggs, Wyoming. <br />. Three multi-purpose fish projects - flows, recreation, agriculture augmentation - were <br />mentioned <br />- Pothook site (CRWCD has conditional right). <br />- Willow Creek. <br />- Middle Fork Little Snake. <br />. Colorado Trust Instream Flows Map - incorporate data <br />- Should be a high priority for use in identifying flow limited reaches. <br />. Compact conditions <br />- Requirement to provide 500,000 AF jyear over state line at Maybell on 10 year running <br />average. This helps meet Environmental Needs. <br />. Non-structural component of small reservoir study could be addressed by creatively <br />keeping senior rights in the lower reaches of the basin whole. <br />- Reduce flood irrigation and replace with sprinklers in the lower part of the basin. <br />- Allow more flood irrigation higher in the basin to provide for later season return flows. <br />. Dam site inventory - BRT members to provide edits over next few months. <br />. Dam restricted <br />- Long Lake - 396 AF (restrictions lifted). <br />- Martin Cull- 250 AF (restrictions lifted). <br />- Lower Spring Creek - breached; removed. <br /> <br />Supply Methodology <br /> <br />Kelly DiNatale presented a brief overview of the methodology to be employed in SWSI for <br />estimating water supplies. The preliminary results of these analyses will be presented at BRT <br />Meeting #3. <br /> <br />Feedback from the BRT members follows. <br /> <br />. Little Snake gauge data should be evaluated. <br />. Lilly Park, Milk Creek, Williams Fork, Maybell, Fortification, Elkhead may be good gauge <br />locations to look at available water supply. <br /> <br />Preparation for Basin Roundtable Meeting #3 <br /> <br />.
