to look at seismic conditions. He would like all other activities to proceed
as planned in light of this new issue.
. Rick McLoud stated that the seismic issue could be a fatal flaw and that
the study needs to be done quickly.
. Eric agreed and informed the users that, if the Chatfield reallocation goes
through and there has to be a fix on the dam due to seismic issues, the
water users will be responsible for the costs. For now, however, the COE
needs to figure out how to fund the study. If headquarters cannot come
up with funding within the next month it may have to be funded with
money from the FR/EIS Water Users to push the process along.
. Tom Browning said that State funding is looking OK and that he is more
worried about Federal funding. He will circulate an emailletting Users
know if money is needed for the seismic study and thinks that we should
get the funding issue squared away by the end of 2007.

9) Washington D.C. Meetings--Summary
. Tom Browning gave a summary of a recent round of meetings held in
Washington D.C. He said that the meeting with the Congressional
Delegation went well and the funding situation looks good. It is not likely
that the Chatfield Reallocation would get zeroed out. The SO/50 cost
share looks positive for next year.
. A vertical team was set up to work out the contracting issues.
. A full report on the entire trip will be released to everyone soon.

10) Wrap-up: Summary of Next Steps/Future Meetings
. The waters users will decide how comments should be submitted to the
COE.
. Any estimates the Water Users have for future groundwater well drilling
should go to Gene Sturm.
. Water Users should send Tetra Tech any projects that could affect
Chatfield for the Cumulative Impacts section of Chapter 4.
. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, November 13th.

6
