Chatfield Reallocation FRlEIS Study Meeting
Tetra Tech Conference Room, Lakewood, Colorado
Tuesday, November 13 2007: 9:00 am -12:00 pm

1) Introductions and Welcome
. Tom Browning (CWCB) introduced new Cooperators-South Suburban
Parks and Recreation, ERO Resources, Colorado Environmental Coalition
and the Chatfield Basin Conservation Network.

2) Project Schedule and Status of Preliminary Draft EIS
. Eric Laux (CO E) informed attendees that a lot of information has come
together since the last meeting and he still feels comfortable with the
February 2009 for the ROD.
. Gary Drendel (Tetra Tech) said that a "preliminary of the preliminary" is
compiled. Out of the 15 appendices, 12 are complete. Tetra Tech is
expecting Chapter 2 from the COE by the end of the week.
. Gary is still looking for feedback from Cooperators on the Cumulative
Impacts Analysis. The cutoff date will be soon unless anyone has
anything to add.
. Rick McLoud (Centennial WSD) said he is still trying to get an accurate
listing of the gravel pits complete with dimensions and other information.
There are 45 of them total. He is waiting on Denver and Thornton to give
him feedback and should have that back in a few days. Tetra Tech is
working with Bob Peters (Denver Water) to obtain a map of the pits.
. Gary is still looking for map files and other information from Cooperators
on pipelines. He has sent out emails and hopes to finish that in the next
few weeks.
. Dave Giger (State Parks) reported that the Recreation Analysis is still a
work in progress and that they are working to get all visitor impacts and
cost estimates nailed down. Chuck Hillerson (Tetra Tech) added that the
recreation benefits-lost estimate is not a big number that would override
the storage costs and he can put an estimate in the budget for this until
the study is done. Eric said that the Recreation Analysis will be
incorporated into the Draft EIS but not the Preliminary Draft.
. Dave added that the recreation impacts will be good and bad-one
important piece that they are looking at now is the impact on the marina
operators. Eric said that the COE has a good system for evaluation of
things like this because they study reservoirs all over the country.
. Continuing with the status update, Gary said that 12 of the 15 Appendices
are complete. Rick asked Gary to list all of the Appendices:
1. Wetlands-Complete
2. List of Wildlife-Complete
3. List of Butterflies-Complete
4. Water Supply Demand Analysis-Tetra Tech is waiting on
comments from the COE.
5.
