David Hallet of Capitol Representatives passed out an announcement for the South Platte River <br />Tour scheduled for June 29 and June 30. There will be a cocktail reception at Confluence Park <br />Thursday June 29 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. June 30 is a bus tour that will conclude at 3:30 pm. <br />Water Users were encouraged to send at least one representative from each group. <br />. This will be an excellent opportunity to network with Congressional staffers. David Hallet will <br />send out a more formal invitation that will require a RSVP to get a head count for the bus tours. <br />. A letter to the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee requested the continuance of <br />funding for Chatfield and was signed by all of Colorado Congressional Delegation members: <br />Diana Degette, Mark Udall, John Salazar, Marilyn Musgrave, Joel Hefley, Tom Tancredo, and <br />Bob Beauprez. <br />. Attached letter requests $500,000 for Federal FY 2007 for the Chatfield Reallocation Study <br />Project. Senator Salazar will seek the funds. <br /> <br />Corps of En2ineers (Schedule and Fundin2) <br />. Marty Timmerwilke explained that the federal funds requested in FY06 were cut by 50%, there is <br />$5,000 left for travel to meetings right now. Funds in amount of $214K that the water users <br />provided to CWCB as the sponsor's share is still available. <br />. The timeline for the preliminary draft FR/EIS report of September 30,2006 is still doable but will <br />require staying on the current timeline. <br /> <br />FR/EIS Pro2ress - Tetra Tech <br />. Chapter 1 - the Corps have the cooperating agency comments are compiling them. <br />Chapter 2 - Tetra Tech cannot start the analyses and reports writing in Chapter 2 <br />alternatives and Chapter 4 that is environmental consequences until the water users <br />give Tetra Tech information requested. Not being prompt with honoring requests <br />delays the proj ect timeline and ends up costing more money. <br />. Chapter 3 - Affected Environment, the Corps received some comments but will continue to <br />accept comments until ready to consolidate all comments. <br />.
