The same date and time each month -
first Tuesday at 1 :30 p.m. - was confirmed. Meetings will be held at the Colorado
Foundation for Water Education, 1.580 Logan Street, Suite 410. November 6
. December 4

DC Trip
David Howlett discussed the June trip to Washington, DC (as contained in work plan)
and said dates will be shared later in the week. Each user group - upstream,
downstream, instream - will choose its own participant. Capitol Representatives will
set meetings as needed in DC, depending on issues agreed upon. He said it is time to
begin talking to DC folks about post-ROD issues. These could include
appropriations, potential WRDA issues, etc. as well as issues with the Corps of
Engineers. David said we do not want our delegation to think that once the ROD is
signed we are done. He suggested a briefing for staff members of all House offices
rather than going to visit each one separately. Separate meetings will be held with the
Senate offices. Trip will include meeting with the Corps, and it mayor may not
include OMB. Dan McAuliffe said there would be discussions of the issues before
the trip takes place.

David circulated a copy of the letter signed by all seven of the House members in
support of the Chatfield project. Rick McLoud asked who drafted the letter. Capitol
Representatives helped the legislative staff draft the letter.

Coordination Meeting Goals
The group discussed the goals of the coordination meetings. Overall the group wants
wet water in Chatfield. To get wet water in Chatfield, the group will have to with the
USACE and the CWCB:

. Determine whether or not water can be stored in Chatfield (based on the EISIFR
and ROD);
. Find out what it is going to cost;
. Develop water contracts;
