Addressing the Gap Technical Roundtable Meeting #2
Meeting Summary

. Want to take exception that we waive water.
. Can you do some things differently on the Front Range in cities?
. Water quality impacts need to be addressed.
. We are going to get all of their projects.
. This is what we need in 1177.
. Flesh out pros and cons for each alternative.
. Political, economic, and social questions. SWSI performs on technical issues.
. Incremental projects as opposed to larger/bigger.
. 1177 roundtables do not have as much expertise layout assumptions, confidence, etc.
. At least in Colorado have a wide variability as we look at impacts to basin that is giving up
water, we should look at what that basin wants. Also, what kind of limitations are basins that
are receiving water going to accept.
. We are supposed to be looking at multiple projects but this looks like getting the water to the
cities.
. Paradox we are dealing with; none of their projects will work without storage. To make their
systems work we need 1 to 1.5 million acre-feet of storage. Maybe a lot of what we are
searching for recreation and environment we can get with storage.

Performance Measures

Susan Morea presented the performance measures used in the process of scoring options during
SWSI Phase 1. Following are the comments from this discussion:
. Must show how alternatives scored for different needs when showing to 1177.
. Two weeks to get comments back: swsi@cdm.com
. The SWSI team will contact members without a profile to develop one.
. Next gap meeting: May 23
. July 18 - Western States Water Conference
. July 26 to 28, Gunnison Water.
. Arkansas- July 11-12.
. CWCB Board: July 17-18 July 24-25
. Look into Vail. Call Rick Sackbauer for new meeting location since Frisco facility is too small.

CDIVI

7

S:\SWSI 2\TRT Meeting - Specific\Addressing Gap\summary\Addressing Gap TRT #2 Summary.doc
