A: The worlcgroup will be a sounding board for IBCC on issues as they come up---what <br />are the common themes conung across the roundtables? The worlcgroup will give <br />roundtables the tools they need. <br />Q: What happens to the worlcgroup after the needs assessments are done? <br />A: The IBCC will have to re-evaluate their future responsibilities, if any. <br />Q: Why were environmental/recreational people the only ones invited to the first <br />meeting? <br />A: When the SWSI-2 environmental technical group was put together, that group was <br />aimed at having the balance of both the water user, the ag users, the municipal users, as <br />well as the environmental and recreational users. There was a mix of water users from <br />the other roundtables at the meeting. <br />Steve Harris said the following questions need to be considered: <br />1. Do we want to participate in work groups? <br />2. Who will represent us? <br />3. How much leeway do we want to give reps? He suggested that they make no binding <br />decisions, and that any substantive decision needs to come back to the roundtable. <br />Jewry stated that we should definitely be at the table. Ken Beegles sees a need for the <br />worlcgroup and our need to participate in the worlcgroup. His fear was that the <br />worlcgroup will become an overpowering commodity and that it is more politically <br />involved than technically involved. <br />Steve said there appeared to be a consensus to participate in the worlcgroup. Milce <br />Preston shared a concern that maps, and data layers ending up at a state-level that are not <br />used by the roundtables in this process as being misconstrued as sanctioned by the <br />roundtables. Steve Fearn said we wouldn't be limited to the methodologies & guidelines, <br />but that they give us a way to start. Tim Hunter and Chuck Waiuler were the <br />enviromlental/recreational reps that had been invited to the early meeting. Steve aslced <br />for volunteers for the two committees. Eric said that if travel expenses are a stumbling <br />block, that IBCC can certainly help reimburse mileage.
