They can't do that in Fraser anymore b/c of the beetle. <br />Carl: what kind of money do you need for the research? <br />Kelly: we can hire summer help -one single student for $5000 bucks all summer long. <br />There was discussion that Brook Lee and Kelly could put together an application and <br />maybe go for some roundtable funding for research projects. <br />Kelly concluded his presentation. <br />Contact info: <br />Kelly Elder: kelder ~,fs.fed.us 970-498-1233 <br />Non-consumptive needs assessment: <br />Hal Hagen sent an email with some more ideas on non-consumptive. <br />Barbara Vasquez will follow up on rafting. <br />Pete Conovitz will follow up on fishing leases. Ken Morgan at the division might have <br />private lease info. <br />Now the roundtable needs to prioritize the different attributes. There was discussion <br />about how to go about doing that. <br />6 <br />Barbara was volunteered to be on the non-consumptive subcommittee, as long as she <br />agrees, and also she was asked to contact the Colorado Natural Heritage Program to come <br />up and present to the roundtable. Kent will give the contact info to Barbara to do this. <br />Do we want to have Nicole Rowan or Eric come up to talk about non-consumptive, and <br />where to go from here? <br />Carl said the non-consumptive committee should prioritize the attributes. <br />Barbara will be added to the non-consumptive committee in place of Carl Trick. <br />The non-consumptive committee will decide on priorities and bring their <br />recommendations back to the roundtable. <br />Report on the IBCC: <br />Carl gave a report on the IBCC. <br />The state is scheduled to have a meeting here in North Parkin May. Roundtable <br />members need to be able to show up for that. <br />Contract between Jackson County and the CWCB: <br />We now have aerial photos w/ irrigated acres layered over them. We are trying to <br />develop a template and legend. <br />Dave Meyring mentioned that he could get a lot more done w/ the maps if they were at a <br />different scale. He thinks the scale is too large, he needs more detailed info. <br />The meeting was adjourned. Next meeting is November 27ti' <br />
