North Platte Basin Roundtable Meeting 10.30.2007
some plot level studies in their manipulations and watch how the beetle affects those
stands. They can't do that in Fraser anymore b/c of the beetle.
Carl: what kind of money do you need for the research?
Kelly: we can hire summer help -one single student for $5000 bucks all summer long.
There was discussion that Brook Lee and Kelly could put together an application and
maybe go for some roundtable funding for research projects.

Non-consumptive needs assessment:
Hal Hagen sent an email with some more ideas on non-consumptive.
Barbara Vasquez will follow up on rafting.
Pete Conovitz will follow up on fishing leases. Ken Morgan at the division might have
private lease info.
Now the roundtable needs to prioritize the different attributes. There was discussion
about how to go about doing that.

Barbara was volunteered to be on the non-consumptive subcommittee, as long as she
agrees, and also she was asked to contact the Colorado Natural Heritage Program to come
up and present to the roundtable. Kent will give the contact info to Barbara to do this.
Do we want to have Nicole Rowan or Eric come up to talk about non-consumptive, and
where to go from here?
Carl said the non-consumptive committee should prioritize the attributes.
Barbara will be added to the non-consumptive committee in place of Carl Trick.
The non-consumptive committee will decide on priorities and bring their
recommendations back to the roundtable.
Report on the IBCC:
Carl gave a report on the IBCC.
The state is scheduled to have a meeting here in North Parkin May. Roundtable
members need to be able to show up for that.
Contract between Jackson County and the CWCB:
We now have aerial photos w/ irrigated acres layered over them. We are trying to
develop a template and legend.
Dave Meyring mentioned that he could get a lot more done w/ the maps if they were at a
different scale. He thinks the scale is too large, he needs more detailed info.
