Federal Emergency Management Agency
Washington, D.C. 20472

JAN 142003

The Honorable James R. Sullivan
Chairman, Douglas County
Board of Commissioners
100 Third Street
Castle Rock, CO 80104

Dear Mr. Sullivan:

This responds to correspondence dated December 19,2002, from Mr. Bill DeGroot, P.E., Chief,
Floodplain Management Program, Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, which commented on a
Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for your community dated September 16, 2002 (Case No. 02-08-171P),
that will become effective on January 16,2003. The September 16 LOMR, requested by Mr. Tom
Williams, Stormwater Utility Manager, Town of Parker, revised the effective Flood Insurance Rate Map
(FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study report for your community to show the effects of topographic changes
and channel modifications along Sulphur Gulch from the confluence with Cherry Creek to just upstream
of Parker Road. In his correspondence, Mr, DeGroot stated that the revised Floodway Data Table (FDT)
referenced in the third paragraph of the September 16 LOMR was not included with the revised FIRM
and flood profiles. With this letter, we are providing the revised FDT that inadvertently was omitted from
the above-mentioned LOMR. The flood hazard information shown on the revised FIRM and flood
profiles that were attached to the September 16 LOMR and the enclosed FDT will become effective on
January 16,2003.

If you have any questions regarding this letter, please call our Map Assistance Center, toll free, at
1-877-FEMA MAP (1-877-336-2627).

Sincerely,

bng~~.~En~neer

Hazard Study Branch
Federal Insurance and
Mitigation Administration

For: Michael M.
