Purchase supplies such as t-shirts for program advertising and auditor identification, cell phones for
communicating with clients, fellow auditors, the program assistant and program manager.
The success of meeting previously identified goals and objectives
All necessary tools and supplies were purchased on time.
Obstacles encountered
Good quality irrigation parts can currently only be obtained locally from a wholesale supplier. It was necessary
to pay a fee to open an account with them in order to purchase supplies, which was not anticipated.
Also, catch- cup fees had increased by 100% which added to our supply costs.

Website scheduling software is designed. This is an on-line scheduling tool that will be transferable to other
entities wishing to set up similar programs in their area. It will be included in the final product of this grant.
Accomplishments
A customized online scheduling program was designed by Rich Price and was essential to the functioning of the
program. The program allowed us to effectively manage scheduling a large volume of audits amongst different
entities occurring simultaneously. It also allowed us to accommodate the different procedural requirements that
different cities have. Clients do tend to reschedule appointments often and this program could visually show
openings and cancellations to facilitate the rescheduling process. The program is capable of clients scheduling
their own appointments on-line, though this was not fully utilized in the 2006 program for various reasons. The
main reason dealt with trying to control the filling of a time-slot with a particular location in order to minimize
driving for auditors. We anticipate that this feature could be further utilized in the future.
Obstacles Encountered
Weare grateful to have gone through the developmental process with Rich Price. It was much more complex
and time-consuming than anticipated and much was learned during the process. It was difficult to foresee the
particular design and functionality requirements of the program and it required a lot of modifications during the
audit season to perfect it. We feel it would be very useful to anyone wanting to implement the same type of
program.

Printing and copying of forms used to perform an audit and additional flyers to advertise the program, are
made at this time.
Accomplishments
This task was completed.
Obstacles Encountered
More copies were needed than anticipated and contracting out to a printer in future years might be considered to
save on costs.

17 auditors conduct up to 4 audits a day for a 9 week period during June, July, and August and an assistant
works to handle requests and disseminate appointments for a 16 week period during May, June, July, and
August. The assistant also aids the manager in overseeing the daily functioning of the program as needed. The
audits will take place in the cities of Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Thornton, Westminster, Greeley, Aurora,
Golden and Erie.
Accomplishments
The team of auditors completed over 3600 hours of irrigation audits in the nine cities listed above.. This
included approximately 1400 residential properties and 44 HOA or commercial properties. This was close to
our anticipated goal. We did end up spending more office time coordinating HOA audits and this is not
