One of the goals set forth in that Plan is to closely morutar <br />District irrigation on parks and open space. In efforts to meet this goal and conserve <br />water, the District proposes to install a CALSENSE irrigation management system. <br />This project would also serve statewide interests. Given the fact that landscape <br />irrigation typically comprises over 50 percent of summertime municipal water system <br />(temands in Colorado, this project could demonstrate the use and practicality of an <br />irrigation efficiency teclmology that couId be implemented to reduce municipal <br />demands throughout Colorado~ <br /> <br />This document is an application for grant monies offered by the CWCB for the <br />development and installation of the CALSENSE irrigation management system. This <br />application was developed in accordance with CWCB's IIGuidelines for the Water <br />Efficiency Grant Program. 11 <br /> <br />This grant application includes the following major sections: <br /> <br />.
