Dave Me»°itt: We do not. We have special districts. We can look at how the municipal
providers look at things.
Hart•is~ ,Sherman: What role do you see for western Colorado in water conservation?
Dave Me»°itt: Conservation would come from our Municipal supply. Grand Junction and town
of Palisades is trying to develop a water conservation ethic. Agriculture is also changing their
conservation ethic.
Update
Harris Sherman asked Senator Gayle Schwartz to update the IBCC on recent severance tax
discussions.
Jim Isgcrf•: As water people we have concerns over the construction fund and the perpetual base
account. Concerns about reducing money in construction fiend.
Ha~~ris~ Sherr~~ajr. It is important for IBCC to keep on this. Their proposals will impact the
CWCB's funding source.
