RUG 19 '9S 02:22PM URBRN DRRINRGE

soliciting input from FEMA regarding procedural and technical
requirements. keeping FEMA informed of project status, submittin~l
information for review, and discussing rcview comments. Coordination
will not include submitting CLOMR or LOMR application forms. the
coordination effon \1Ioill be limited t.o no more than 40 hours, plus
associated direct costs. Any additic)nal coordination effort required will
be approved in acc;ordance with P8.Il'agraph 12,
7, ENGINEER shall be generally cognizant of the soil characteristics c)fthc
basin.
8. DISTRICT shall provide 2.foot COlttour interval mapping of the study
area in AutoCAD fonnat. Mappini~ files shall include 3-dimensionaJ
ridgelines and spot elevations suitable for producing a representative
digital terrain model of the ground surface.
9. ENGINEER shall depict the following information on mapping described
in Item B(8):
a. Limits of 100.year floodplains based on 100-year flows for a future
developed basin and existing channel conditions,
b, Profiles of the bottom of the ,channel or thalweg, left and right
bank, where appropriate, and 10- and 100.year water surfaces.
c. Cross. sections of crossing Structures,
d, Typical cross-sections at appropriate scales on same drawings
andlor on separate drawings.
e. Design flows and velocities at appropriate locations.
C, Cross-section locations.
g. Reference line down the c;cnu~r of the low flow channel.
h. A sufficient number of flood l;ontours to enable reconstruction of
the I OO.year water surface profile to an accuracy of::l: O.S feet.
10. ENGINEER shall determine the limits oftwo l00-year floodways, based
on encroachment resulting in muillllum increase in tbe energy gradeline of
O.S n, ancll.O ft. Floodway data will be in tabl, llar form and keyed to
cross.section stationing and clevatil~ns. Floodway data is not required
when the design flows are confined within a well defined chaMel. but the
conditions shall be so neted.
11. ENGINEBR shall provide DISTRICT with a set of original drawings as
described in Paragraph 3.B.9 plotted on 11 by 17-ineh sheets, plus
AutoCAD fUes of the drawings. Plan view floodplain drawings will be
plotted at a scale of I-inch equals 200-feet and profiles will be plotted at a
scale of I-inch equals ZOO.feet (borizontal) and I-inch equals 10-feet
(venical).
12. ENG~ER shall provide DlSTRI~CT one copy of nil peninent
calculations and references to materials used, plus computer-genera,ted
hydrologic and hydraulic infonnaticln. The computer-generated
information shall be provided on 1,44 MB density 100% error-free
computer diskettes, written with MS-DOS or PC-DOS operating
systems.
13. ENGINEER shall prepare a bound one-volume written report (11" x 17")
with title and date on the cover. The report shall be signed and sealed by
the registered professional engineer' responsible for its content and shall
contain:

lJloodl.op-el9lllll\911203 3

P.3/S

,.
