DESIGN FLOOD STUDY AND ROUTING <br /> <br />A hydro graph depicting the original inflow design flood 15 included in Appendix D. <br />The inflow design flood was approved January 24, 1967, and has a peak inflow of <br />39,000 cfs and a IS-day volume of 202,000 acre.f..t. <br /> <br />The flood roueing begins wieh the reservoir filled eo ehe noraal water surface <br />elevation of 7665.00. This wate~ surface 1. maln~.ln.d 'until ehe inflow 1s equal to <br />~he maximum capacity of ehe outlet works of 2,900 cf.. The spillway radial ga~es <br />then open at a ra~io of 8.fee~ for each 1-foot of rise of reservoir elevation until <br />a maximum opening of 11.2 feet 1s reached. The peak release of 30,000 cfs is <br />reached aboue 6-hours after the peak inflow.
