<br />the three levels of protection. It should be noted that the soil excavation, levee removal, riprap lining, and
<br />soil cement quantities are based on the available base mapping.

<br />Another alternative that can be considered by the City is the purchase of an insurance policy that would cover
<br />the cost of damage caused by flow in excess of approximately 7,000 cfs (capacity of existing channel without
<br />the existing levee) but less than approximately 11,350 cfs (capacity of existing channel with existing levee,
<br />before weir construction). To elevate this alternative, it would be necessary to determine the property value
<br />within the effected area and the potential damage from the design flow.
