This letter of is to inionn you that in the coming days, the Green Industries ofC01orado
(GreenCD) will be submitting a grant application to the Colorado Water Conservation Board -
Oftice of Drought Plalming and Conservation for a water efficiency grallt to fund a project to
expand and revise its Green Industry Best Management Practices (BMP) for the Conservation and
Water Quality Protection Practices in Colorado.

GreeneO's goal for this project is to build upon the ongoing success ofthe program to
reach not only its industry, but also a wide alTay ot'affected parties and stakeholders. Ifthc grant
is approved, GreeneO will need your help to begin work on its BMP Manual and Training
Program to add more technical substance, and begin identifying new practices to correlate with
the with the "green movement." Tndustry expertise will be vital in identifying new BMPs to
address topics such as sustainability, energy, reuse, recycling, alternative fuels, and
tTa.l15portation, among others.

On behalf of Colorado State University, you are invited to participate on the BMP
Expansion Advisory Committee. As a committee member, you would be asked to attend
approximately six meetings beginning in October 2007 and ending in lute January 2008, AU we
ask is that YOll solicit ill put from your peers, lend your expertise, and help to bring this important
project to fruition.
