Dear Alison,

This letter of is to inform you that in the coming days, the Green Industries of Colorado
(GreenCO) will be submitting a grant application to the Colorado Water Conservation Board _
Office of Drought Planning and Con5en'anon for a water effic iency grant to fund a project to
expand and revise its Green Industry Best Management Practil:eS (BMP) for the Conservation and
Water Quality Protection Practices in Colorado.

GreenCO's goal for this project is to build upon the ongoing success of the program to
reach not only its industry, but also a wide anay of affected parties and stakeholders. If the grant
is approved, GreenCO will need your help to begin work on it..; BMP Manual and Training
Program to add more technical substance, and begin identifYing new practices to correlate with
the with the '.green movement. .. Industry expertise will be vital in identifying new BMPs to
address topics such as sustainability, energy, reuse. recycling, :utemative fuels, and
transportation. among others.

Serving on behalf of the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado, YOll are invited
to participate on the BMP Expansion AdviSOly Committee. A~ a committee member, you would
be asked to attend approximately six meetings beginning in Oclpber 2007 and ending in late
January 2008, All we ask is that you 50Iicit input from your peers. lend your expertise, and help
to bring this important pmjcct to fruition.
