Pmticipants in Pitkin/Eagle Counties Plan <br />(SOURCE CWCB & DOL A WEBSITES) <br /> <br />With respect to a reduction of population and stmctures in the floodplain, a comparative <br />evaluation of the information in Table 7 suggests a reduction since 2004 in the following <br />counties: Arapahoe, Boulder, Chaffee, Conejos, Crowley, Delta, Dolores, Douglas, La <br />Plata, Larimer, Lincoln, Otero, Phillips, San Miguel, Teller and Weld. This reduction <br />likely resulted from several actions including, but not limited to, improvements in the <br />floodplain delineation obtained from the Map Modernization Program, enforcement of <br />local floodplain regulations, and implementation of flood mitigation projects. <br /> <br />Several local entities have also completed both planning and projects associated with <br />flood mitigation.
