The estimated total cost of the project is $445,000.
Please see the attached project summary and map.

Backaround
Shultz Farm, Inc. owns 2 farms in Weld County. The Hill Lake is on a 546-acre farm, purchased in
August 2000, and located about 8 miles northeast of Longmont. Water from the lake supplies a
sprinkler that irrigates approximately 200 acres. The Hill Lake has a decreed capacity of 135 acre-
feet, but has been silted in over the years so that its normal capacity is now about 65 acre-feet.
Shultz Farm wants to excavate the lake to regain lost capacity and increase the capacity beyond
the existing decree. The Lake will provide additional irrigation water during drought periods.

Feasibility Studies
Steve Shultz, President of Shultz Farms, has completed the feasibility study, using information
from Intermill Land Surveying, Inc. The study includes an assessment of the technical and
financial feasibility of the project.

Shultz Farm. Inc.
Shultz Farm, Inc. is a Colorado Corporation formed in 1973 and registered with the Secretary of
State. The purpose of the Corporation is to engage in farming, ranching and livestock feeding
operations, and other farming and ranching activities. The Corporation has the authority to buy
and sell farms, and to pledge or mortgage real estate as collateral for farm loans.
