: Date
Water Supply Reserve Account – Grant Application Form
Form Revised October 2006
_______________________________________

9.
Additional Information – If you feel you would like to add any additional pertinent information please feel
free to do so here. Attach additional sheets as needed.

A new approach to resource management is occurring in the Mancos Valley, of which the

proposed project is a part. After decades of land management efforts taking pla ce in the

watershed without any whole - management coordination, the Mancos Conservation District

(MCD) recently initiated the Mancos Watershed Project. Recognizing that all of our resources
are intertwined and affect everyone who lives in the valley, this l ong - term project has as a

central mission the coordination of natural resource conservation management efforts between

the many responsible agencies and landowners. Everyone in the watershed has a vested interest
in the health and sustainability of the loc al resources. As partners in stewarding our water, the

Mancos Water Conservancy District, the MCD, the Bureau of Reclamation and other

stakeholders will collaborate on the long - term decisions that will affect our future. The

proposed feasibility study wi ll help answer a lot of questions (and no doubt raise new ones!) as
we make decisions in preparation for meeting the demands of a growing population. For more

information on the watershed project, see Section 9 Attachment.

See additional information on J ackson Gulch Dam in Attachments :
?

Jackson Gulch Reservoir

?

Mesa Verde Country

?

Mancos Project, Mancos, Colorado

?

Second fill water rights decree

The above statements are true to the best of my knowledge:
Gary Kennedy

Signature of Applicant
: (signed 2 - 07 - 07 / )

Print Applicant’s Name
: Mancos Water Conservancy Dist rict / Gary Kennedy

Jackson Gulch Reservoir Expansion project
Project Title
:

Return this application to
:

Mr. Rick Brown

Intrastate Water Management and Development Section

COLORADO WATER C ONSERVATION BOARD
1580 Logan Street, Suite 600

Denver, CO 80203

To submit applications by Email, send to: rick.brown@state.co.us
To submit applications by Fax, send to: (303) 894 - 2578

For questions, c all Telephone No.: (303) 866 - 3426

9
