<br />Water Supply Reserve Account - Grant Application Form <br />Form Reyised May 2007 <br /> <br />the task: The landowner has hired Leonard Rice Engineers, Inc. and Bernard, Lyons, Gaddis & Kahn, P .C. <br />to develop the required engineering and legal documents to complete the water rights. Ducks Unlimited <br />will assist the landowner to assure that water rights are structured to benefit migrating and wintering <br />waterfowl in addition to providing recharge credits for use by the PRRP and agricultural interests. <br /> <br />· Description of the major deliverables/products that will be produced upon successful completion of the <br />task: <br /> <br />· Complete engineering details associated with the recharge plan. <br /> <br />· Copy of water court filings and substitute supply plan. <br /> <br />Task 3 <br /> <br />Description of task: Construct wetland. impoundments via contour levees, and install water level control <br />structures. Contract construction components to eligible parties. Provide construction management <br />oversight through to project completion. <br /> <br />Method or procedure that will be used or followed to accomplish the task and identify who will undertake <br />the task: Levee construction: Ducks Unlimited and USFWS have already surveyed and staked the levee <br />locations for these projects using in-kind services. The landowner is constructing the levees using funds as <br />part of a small grant secured by LSPWCD. Water Level Control Structures: Funds from LSPWCD - <br />NA WCA grant will be used to install agridrains, T-boxes and check structures, following a full survey by <br />Ducks Unlimited. Open lateral ditches will be replaced with pipelines to reduce the amount of water lost in <br />the laterals and assure water can be placed in recharge and storage facilities on the property. <br /> <br />Description of the major deliverables/products that will be produced upon successful completion of the <br />task: Ducks Unlimited will deliver a completed project with 32 acres of seasonal wetlands. <br /> <br />n.
