Performed vegetation transect monitoring in 2001 <br />(baseline) and 2002 (drought conditions) for the previous phase of the Alamosa River restoration project and <br />submitted a report of findings for the project (included in the ARWRF 2006 Final Report to 319) with ter Kuile. <br /> <br />Biology Assistant: <br />Maya ter Kuile, B.S., soil science, Oxford University, Oxford, England; M.A. in Agronomy and Soil Science, <br />Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO. Assisted with vegetation transect monitoring in 2001 (baseline) and <br />2002 (drought conditions) for the previous phase of the Alamosa River restoration project. <br /> <br />III. and IV. BUDGET, DETAILBUDGETS, and PROJECT SCHEDULE/MILESTONE TABLE <br />(see attached Excel spreadsheets) <br /> <br />The project is planned to begin in Fall 2007 and is expected to require 20 to 30 weeks of construction in Fall <br />2007 and Fall 2008, completing over the course of one 'year. Rock acquisition will be the first phase of <br />construction and will need to be substantially underway or complete prior to commencement of in-channel work. <br /> <br />The orientation of the project schedule will be by section and linear feet rather than in time increments. <br />Milestones will roughly be every third of the project, Le., every 5,000 linear feet, with the upper third including the <br />reach from County Road 8 to just upstream of County Road 9. The middle third will include from CR 9 to midway <br />between CR 9 and CR 10 and the lower third will include the section down to CR 10. <br /> <br />15 <br />
