The Association is a legal entity with which CWCB can contract; we have contracted <br /> <br />with Colorado sta te agencies and federal agencies in the past. <br /> <br />The Association was es tablished in 1996 as a non - profit organization whose purpose is to <br /> <br />empower a broad - based coalition of riverfront landowners, farmers and ranchers, <br />environmentalists, irrigation companies, outdoor recreationists, in - stream gravel mining <br />companies, and concerned members of the North Fork community as the driving force behind <br />water resource projects and programs. <br />The group works closely with all river interests to develop consensus and colla borative solutions <br />to rehabilitating a river corridor that was straightened and annually disturbed by bulldozers for <br />50 years. The Association has established an impressive record of accomplishments, including <br />restoring six and one - half miles of river, bui lding four water - <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />
