The District will
develop six additional pairs of wells in the Arapahoe and Laramie Fox Hills formations to fully
develop its adjudicated water rights within District boundaries.

In addition to these non-tributary groundwater resources, the District has developed other non-
tributary groundwater supplies to help meet its water demands. These include a lease of 4,000
acre-feet per year of Arapahoe aquifer water on State Land Board holdings to the east of Aurora
Reservoir. This lease runs through 2032 and requires the District to develop all facilities and to
pay $44/acre-foot per year for water delivered from the State Land Board.

At this time, the District has developed six wells (Rangeview I) that are pumped into Aurora
Reservoir as an exchange for potable water deliveries made through interconnections with the
City of Aurora's water distribution system. This short-term exchange is scheduled to expire in
May.2003. The exchange has produced approximately 1600 acre-feet per year of additional water
supply at a cost of $0.59/1 000 gallons of delivered water. The capital and operating costs of the
State Land Board wells are borne by the District. These State Land Board Arapahoe-formation
wells produce between 150 and 200 gallons per minute with an annual production of
approximately 200 acre-feet per well. An additional eleven wells are to be drilled in 200 I and
2002 (Rangeview II) and a transmission line constructed to deliver potable water directly to the
District. These eleven wells will produce an additional 2,400 acre-feet per year.

The District has rights to 756 acre-feet of South Platte River water as a part of previous
settlements with Denver Water and 15 acre-feet of water purchased near Antero Reservoir for
$10,000 per acre-foot. At this time, the District has no direct method for taking delivery of this
\vater but is planning an exchange to Cherry Creek alluvial wells or through an interconnection
\vith the Denver Water system at Willows Water District.
