Expanding and improving existing facilities <br />must be considered along with new storage and <br />projects must serve multiple purposes. <br /> <br />SWSI Phase 1 identified existing reservoirs for <br />expansion. SWSI Phase 2 compiled water supply <br />projects as examples of multi-beneficial ways to <br />meet water supply needs and provide water for the <br />environment. <br /> <br />r--- <br /> <br /> <br />Creating WIN/WIN Solutions <br /> <br />Policy Position: Lead the way toward more creative and innovative management of <br />Colorado's water resources strategies that will result in WINIWIN outcome! <br /> <br />Through the SWSI process, a set of <br />nine major "water management <br />objectives" were developed, refined, <br />and then used to evaluate options for <br />addressing Colorado's future water <br />needs. These objectives represent the <br />overarching interests in water <br />management - they define major <br />goals of water users in clear, <br />understandable terms. <br /> <br />The Consumptive and Nonconsumptive <br />Workgroups will explore the <br />opportunities, challenges, and <br />recommendations for helping meet <br />Colorado's Future Water Supply Needs. <br /> <br />
