The CWCB's definition of hydraulic control applies to each structure <br />within an existing or proposed stream reach that is the subject of an RICD water right. <br />Hydraulic structures should capture and control the entire streamflow for the RICD <br />flow rate, or range of flow rates, requested by the applicant. For example, if a proposed <br />RICD stream reach is 900 feet long and contains 7 hydraulic structures, each of the <br />structures must independently capture and control the RICD streamflow for the <br />intended recreational use. The ewCB suggests that an inconsistency with requirements <br />of SB 01-216 would result from the inability of Q hydraulic structure to adequately <br />capture and control the entire RICD flow rate. <br /> <br />7.
