SITE IDENTIFICATION AND PRBLIMINAR.Y SCREENING <br /> <br />()Yet: y1c.v <br /> <br />The general objective of Task 3 is to identify alternative water development sites in suffident <br />detail to pennit preliminary screening of these sites. This work will be accomplished by <br />identifying the potential reservoir sites in the basin, making preUminary estimates of physical <br />suppUes at each site, perfonning a fatal flaw analysis of the sites and evaluating the efficacy of <br />each site in meeting projected water and recreation needs of the study area. The final step in <br />this task will be preparation of screening recommendations for consideration by the TSC. <br />Final selection of up to six candidate sites will be made by the TSC. <br /> <br />Up to six candidate sites will be selected for further evaluation in Task 5. In addition, <br />Elkhead Reservoir and Ralph White Reservoir will be evaluated as candidate sites. A <br />contingency will be reserved for fatal flaw evaluation of two additional sites at the beginning <br />of Task 5. Additional potential sites must be identified by April 1, 1991. <br /> <br />Task 3 will be divided into three sub-tasks: <br /> <br />Sub-task 3a: Identify Potential Sites <br />Sub-task 3b: Characterize Potential Sites <br />Sub-task 3c: Select Candidate Sites <br /> <br />Task Leader: Dr. Charles M. Brendecke <br /> <br />KeyTechnicd Support: Mr. Edward Annbruster and Mr. Peter Foster will assist Dr. <br />Brendecke in perfonning this task. Mr. Benjamin Harding will <br />prepare the hydrologic analyses. <br />
