An initial review of the output
was made by members of the CRSS Technical Management Team and the Western
Area Power Admini stration and several refinements were made to the method
and computer code. Remaining work includes a final review of selected output
and then a complete set of computer runs using all depletion schedules and
hydrologic sequences.

Item 6 - Report the Results

Target completion date - draft: November 1, 1984
final: February 1, 1985
15 percent complete - This item includes writing the report, typing, reviews,
revisions, and publication. Approximately 50 percent of the initial writing
is complete. All other work remains to be done.

Status of Initial Report Writing

Section I - Overview

This section will provide general information about the study including its
background, purpose, objectives and methodology. Don Frevert is responsi ble
for completion of the section. It is currently about 60 percent complete.

Section II - Base Case Strategy

Thi s secti on wi 11 center on a di scus~ i on of the current operating or "base
case" strategy. Mike Cowan prepared a draft version of most of the section
and Don Frevent is responsible for its completion. This part is about
70 percent finished.

Section III - Alternative Strategies

This portion outlines alternative management strategies. The discussion covers
the desirable features of the strategies including continuous coverage of
the range of acceptable options, simplicity and easy identification and
description. Also, included is a description of the development and preliminary
evaluation of each strategy as well as a description of the modifications
to the CRSS model required to incorporate each strategy. Parts of this
di scussi on have been written by Bi 11 Lane and Mi ke Cowan. Don Frevert is
responsible for its completion. The section is approximately 70 percent
complete.

Section IV - Evaluation of Strategies

This part of the report covers the use of the CRSS model and various hydrologic
traces as a mechanism for evaluating the strategies and a review of input

2
