The largest group of people reduced their water
usage by 20 to 40 percentage points, with the second largest group of people reducing
their water usage by 0 to 20 percentage points. Although these properties did in fact
reduce their water usage, many of the properties were still over-watering. However, they
were over-watering by much less.

Households Watering Below ET Prior to Inspection

Differen:e ofPre-Auit and Rtit-Auit Olkbor ~r Uage of2004AG<EI
Expessed as O/oEI

35%
300~
25%
200~
~
~
= 15%
~
= 100~
~
~
.. 5%
~
OO~
o\f/o j:,(f 1-0)
lj\l ~o/Oy
\-

~(f 1-0)
tJPo 1 Oy ,.
\-

~(f 1-0)
\oo/~

EPo~
\A(f/~

o\f 1-0)
\cc,(f 1 ~ \I

0/0 EfIIfference

. 2004AG::Ef

Roughly 2/3 of properties were watering below ET prior to the inspection. As can be
expected from this group, since they were already watering below ET, we did not see a
reduction in water use. The trend was to water closer to actual ET rates, resulting in
healthier landscapes and more efficient water use.

27
