D R A F T <br />there are any secti ons of the text that participants anticipate not being able to accept without <br />major changes. <br /> <br />Discussion of Proposed Focus and Date for Next Meeting <br /> <br />Participants agreed that the next IBCC meeting will be held on Monday, May 22 , 2006 , from <br />9 :00 a.m. to 1 : 00 p.m . The meeting will be held in Glenwood Springs, at the same location as <br />the meeting of the Colorado Basin Roundtable. <br /> <br />Committee members made several suggestions for topics to be discussed by the IBCC in the next <br />several meetings. The facilitat ion team and DNR will work together to develop an agenda for <br />nd <br />the May 22 meeting. <br /> <br />Suggested topics for discussion: <br /> <br /> <br />• Bylaws <br /> <br />• Polling of Roundtables – on what issues do they need/want assistance from the IBCC? <br /> <br />• Current status of SWSI 2 (possible presentatio n) <br /> <br />• Status of b asin water needs assessments – How far along are the basins? W hat can the <br />IBCC do to help? <br /> <br />• Information sharing with goal of promoting mutual understanding – what is the situation <br />(compacts, water supply, water uses/needs, challenges) in ea ch basin? <br /> <br />• Water education working group of the IBCC (establishment and function) <br /> <br />• Statewide water vision (coming out of basin needs assessment s ) <br /> <br />• Presentation on Colorado River issues and current discussion with lower basin states <br /> <br />• “L ay of the land ” regardi ng other compacts affecting the state (possible presentation) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 3 <br />
