<br />Facilitation Team <br /> <br />Chris Moore, CDR Associates <br />Diane Tate, CDR Associates <br /> <br />Members of the Pub lic <br /> <br />Don Ament <br />Polly Hays <br />Tom Iseman <br />Olen Lund <br />David Nickum <br />Dennis Smith <br />Rose Ann Sullivan <br />Phyllis Thomas <br />Reagan Waskom <br /> <br />W elcome, Introductions and Agenda Review <br /> <br />Harris Sherman opened the meeting and made brief remarks, which are summarized below. <br />After Director Sherman’s remarks, Eric Hecox reviewed the agenda with participants, and Chris <br />Moore led introductions. <br /> <br />Harris Sherman: This IBCC meeting is being held in conjunction with the Metro <br />Roundtable meeting. This afternoon the IBCC will hear a presen tation from Metro. This <br />will be a good opportunity to learn more about what they are doing, and I encourage you <br />to stay for their meeting in the late afternoon. Before we get started, it might be good to <br />refresh everyone’s memory as to why we are here , an d Eric will do that . I want to <br />emphasize that I hope that there will be a lot of dialog today. I know that Rod and Dan <br />will present the perspective of CWCB. Ken Knox from the State Engineer’s Office will <br />present their thinking on Colorado River issues. I hope that the rest of you won’t be shy. <br />We want to hear about and learn about other perspectives on Colorado River issues, with <br />an emphasis on great discussion. <br /> <br />Eric Hecox : At the last meeting, we talked about how to structure the work the IBCC <br />wil l be doing this year and into the future. This includes: 1) continuing our public <br />education and outreach work, 2) completing needs assessments, 3) continuing to <br />implement t he water supply reserve account, and 4) discussing multiple objective and <br />collabora tive solutions to water issues in the state. We also want to assure that we retain <br />the grass - roots nature of our process while stimulating dialog across basins and looking at <br />issues of statewide concern. <br /> <br />Our agenda today reflects these goals. We will be continuing our work on the Colorado <br />River, a major water issues that has implications for all of the basins. We will look at the <br />issue of developing a common technical platfor m through the two working groups we <br />
