<br />1. Actively participate in the annual review of the Criteria and Guidelines. Per the current <br />Crit eria and Guidelines, the IBCC will “in October of each year jointly (with the CWCB) <br />consider and make any necessary revisions to these criteria and guidelines.” <br /> <br /> <br />2. Encourage their roundtable to review their WSRA process in light of the lessons learned <br />from t his first round and strengthen their process where needed. <br /> <br /> <br />Basin Roundtables <br />Basin Roundtables have a key role in the process. They are the screening entity and what they <br />advance is given considerable deference. In order to improve the WSRA process and implement <br />the lessons learned from the first round of applications, roundtables should focus on: <br /> <br /> <br />1. Making sure each Basin Account application has individually addressed each of the 4 <br />Threshold Criteria and the eligibility requirements . <br /> <br /> <br />2. Making sure each St atewide Account application has individually addressed each of the 4 <br />Threshold Criteria , the eligibility requirements, and the Evaluation Criteria. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Make sure there is a nexus between the roundtable’s needs assessment and the application. <br />This link should be articulated in the application and/or the approval letter. This means that <br />the application is either: A) l inked to t he needs assessment conclusions; or B) f urthers the <br />roundtable’s needs assessment . All roundtables have a working needs assessment tha t <br />identifie s solutions that can be pursued in each basin. <br /> <br /> <br />4. In the future it is likely that request for fund will exceed available funds. If roundtables have <br />multiple applications they may wish to rank order those that have the highest support/degree <br />of ne ed for funding. <br />
