<br />CONSULTANT AGREEM ENT <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Scope of Work - <br />Interbasin Compact Committee <br /> <br />Background <br />HB 1177 outlines activities for both a 25 - member Interbasin Compact (IBC) Committee and <br />Interbasin Compact Basin Roundtables (ICBRT). The purpose of this scope will be to provide <br />technical support to the HB 1177 IBCRT. Beginning in July 200 6 , the Consultant will provide <br />technical information to the ICBRTs, and will provide support as directed by the CWCB and <br />the DNR. The timeframe for this scope will be from July 2006 to November 2007. <br />Task 1: Interbasin Compact Basin Roundtable Meeting Support <br />Purpose <br />The purposes of the ICBRT meetings include review and evaluation of the findings from SWSI <br />Phase 1 from a basin and statewide perspective. ICBRT meetings will also be used to address <br />basin priorities. <br />Approach <br />Consultant will continue to provide input to the ICBRT meetings in each of the state's eight <br />river basins plus the Metro area to assist in the identification of water supply alternatives and <br />projects and to the d evelopment of a consensus on the path forward regarding water supply <br />alternatives. The ICBRT meetings can react to information provided by the SWSI TRTs and <br />provide information on water planning needs. This will be accomplished by performing the <br />following tasks in association with the ICBRT meetings : <br />Meeting Support – Present Water Needs Assessment and Determine Updat ing <br />Needs ( For all basins excluding South Platte and Metro) <br />Water Needs Assessment Report s have been completed for all of the basins with t he exception <br />of the South Platte and Metro basins. The Consultant will work with each basin to determine <br />the data that needs to be developed from the needs assessment. S WSI Phase 1 information on <br />demand and supply will be compiled and updated, if informat ion has been provided through <br />SWSI Phase 2. Presentation materials will be developed. Demands will be presented on both a <br />basin and county level. <br />Con sultant will work with IBCRT to determine what needs to be updated based on the water <br />needs assessment incl uding identification of the Identified Projects and Process in the basin <br />and an introduction to the Gap for each basin will be represented. <br />Page 10 of 16 Pages <br />
