<br />So, I'd like to thank Senator Isgar for helping us work out <br /> <br />this lssue. And should Floor Amendment 6 get on, I'll be <br /> <br />supportive of the bill. <br /> <br />Senator Isgar: Madame Chair, I concur with the amendment. <br /> <br />I would ask for an aye vote. <br /> <br />Chairperson Fitz-Gerald: You heard the motion. All those <br /> <br />In favor of Amendment L006 say, "Aye." <br /> <br />Members: Aye. <br /> <br />Chairperson Fitz-Gerald: Opposed, "No." The Amendment lS <br /> <br />adopted to the bill. <br /> <br />Senator Isgar? <br /> <br />Senator Isgar: <br /> <br />Thank you, Madame Chair. <br /> <br />And what this bill does, it takes $10 million out of the <br /> <br />Operational Account that is within the Severance Tax Trust Fund. <br /> <br />It leaves it in the Severance Tax Trust Fund, but creates a new <br /> <br />account called the Water Supply Reserve Account. And let me <br /> <br />explain to you why we think it's important to create that and <br /> <br />what we're trying to accomplish. <br /> <br />We've done the Statewide Water Supply Initiative over the <br /> <br />last couple of years. And what that identified was, there's a <br /> <br />significant gap between what our needs would be by the year 2030 <br /> <br />and our ability to meet that. <br /> <br />And what we're trying to accomplish here is that there's a <br /> <br />gap there that keeps us from getting these projects built.
