This really serves a great purpose and, as has already been

said, to not be redundant, but this does tie In with House Bill

1177 from last year that established the Basin Roundtables,

which--and that process is moving forward quite well and quite

rapidly. But, one of the missing elements is to have some money

so that they can proceed with some of these projects.

And finally, I would say that, with regard to the drought

that we suffered through for a number of years, that I hope we

as Coloradoans and as Colorado, have learned something from

those droughts, that we need more reservoirs. We need to build

some ways to catch the water, preserve the water, use the water

for us In Colorado. And this would result in, hopefully, a

serles of smaller reservoirs over time.

I'd urge support of Senate Bill 179.

Chairperson Fitz-Gerald:

Isgar?

Further discussion? Senator

Senator Isgar:

Thank you, Madame Chair.

I would renew my motion for the adoption of Senate Bill 179

with second reading.

Chairperson Fitz-Gerald:

The motion lS for the adoption of

Senate Bill 179 as amended.
