CWCB to access the other funds. And that was [unintelligible],
and we want to make sure that a person -- because we said, you
know, we believe in the roundtable process. And this does add
some credibility and some funding. But, we have said all along
you do not have to go through the roundtable process.
And so, we just wanted to make sure, which I think -- and
I've been assured that there is money, and you heard Melinda,
there is money in the Water Conservation Board. It's not the
big part, the Perpetual Fund, but there is a part they can use
so a person does not have to go through the roundtable process.
And I th ink that was one of the concerns that we had, that the
CWCB would administer all the money. And in this account, you
go through the -- they make the recommendations but I believe
[unintelligible] making the determinations on -- they'll get those
applications and they'll get them from all the basins, but they
will determine which ones of those get funded to what extent.
But, they have -- that these had to come through that process.
[Unintelligible.]
Chairman Grossman:
Okay. Further discussion on Senate
Bill 1 79? Senator Isgar's motion is to refer the bill to
Appropriations with a favorable recommendation. Seeing no
discussion, Mr. Johnson, please take the roll call vote.
Mr. Johnson:
Senator Brophy?
Senator Brophy:
Aye.
- 36 -
