Frank, welcome back to the <br />Senate Ag Committee. <br />Mr. Frank McNulty: <br /> [Unintelligible.] <br />Chairman Grossman: <br /> Please state your name and who you <br />represent for th e record and proceed. <br />Mr. McNulty: <br />Mr. Chairman, Members of the Committee, I’m <br />Frank McNulty, Assistant Director for Water at the Department of <br />Natural Resources. <br />I appreciate the opportunity to come before you today. <br />Director George wanted to be here wi th you. He is unfortunately <br />unavailable. I am not a good stand - in for him, but I can at <br />least pass along the information that he was going to share with <br />you. <br />We support 179. We helped draft 179. We think that it is <br />the right solution to help bring forw ard the types of projects, <br />the types of programs that this state needs. <br />Mr. Chairman, you referenced individual projects within <br />basins that can help communities make more efficient use of the <br />water resources they have. This is the type of program that we <br />would anticipate would be funded with these dollars. In fact, <br />there are projects across the state that we are aware of that <br />would be helped by this kind of funding effort. <br />Senator Isgar correctly points out that the Water <br />Conservation Board does have mone y available.
