<br />does provide for that, that the projects will have to have <br /> <br />support. <br /> <br />It doesn't totally address a concern that some of us have <br /> <br />that you could have a good project that didn't recelve <br /> <br />roundtable approval. But, I think by forcing people through the <br /> <br />process, letting it work, hoping that good processes--good <br /> <br />projects do receive approval and that this will allow them to <br /> <br />move forward, I think is--I think it's a goal that we need to <br /> <br />work towards. And requiring people to utilize this process and <br /> <br />recelve a favorable recommendation will keep them in that <br /> <br />process. <br /> <br />And based on that, I think it's probably worth at this time <br /> <br />accepting the House version, which does provide for that. But <br /> <br />if--I know there are several of us here that have concerns that, <br /> <br />if we see good projects--that we see good projects that aren't <br /> <br />getting funded, not projects that are going to take water out of <br /> <br />the basin necessarily, but within a basin, if there's <br /> <br />competition within that basin and good projects being turned <br /> <br />down, then I think we're going to take a look at this and say, <br /> <br />you know, these good projects need to get funded. <br /> <br />Again, I want to make it clear that we're not talking <br /> <br />about--with the amount of money we have available we want to <br /> <br />help a lot of small entities within a lot of basins address <br /> <br />their needs. <br /> <br />- 3 - <br />
