<br />Senate concur with the House position that we had on third <br /> <br />reading--with the third reading amendment will be--I guess <br /> <br />that's the re-revised verSlon. <br /> <br />I think--I think to say that means that we're very hopeful <br /> <br />that this 1177 Process will work. <br /> <br />Indications are that it is <br /> <br />working, that we're getting buy-in in that. <br /> <br />It does mean that <br /> <br />the only way a person can receive this funding under 179, the-- <br /> <br />which I view, there's several categories, but primarily to help <br /> <br />smaller entities with money for feasibility and environmental <br /> <br />compliance that, in order to access those funds, he will need to <br /> <br />go through the roundtable process, but that the criteria on how <br /> <br />that funding will be allocated will be jointly developed by the <br /> <br />CWCB and the roundtable. <br /> <br />And one of the concerns--we hear two concerns. One, that <br /> <br />people are concerned that the project will not be approved by a <br /> <br />roundtable and, therefore, they can't get funding. But, we also <br /> <br />hear concerns from around--people within our water basins that <br /> <br />they're concerned that a project could get approved that didn't <br /> <br />go through the roundtable. <br /> <br />Ideally, projects would go through the roundtable, and good <br /> <br />projects would be supported and sent on for funding and <br /> <br />everybody will be happy. We don't want projects to be approved <br /> <br />that don't have popular support. And the roundtable process <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
