<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />insure adequate warning is given to bicyclists and pedestrians by using cones, signs, <br />and flashers as necessary to insure their safety. <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR will be notified by the DISTRICT if construction or <br />revegetation necessitates that scheduled maintenance be rescheduled or removed from <br />the CONTRACT. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />H. PURPLE LOOSESTRIFE. The DISTRICT is assisting the Colorado Division of <br />Wildlife in controlling Purple Loosestrife. Purple Loosestrife is a noxious weed and a <br />threat to wetland areas and habitat. It spreads through seed dispersion as well as by <br />cut pieces of plant. The District would like the CONTRACTOR's field personnel to <br />be able to identify Purple Loosestrife. The DISTRICT can supply the <br />CONTRACTOR with information to help identify Purple Loosestrife in the field. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />If Purple Loosestrife is found, DO NOT MOW: CONTACT DISTRICT <br />IMMEDIATELY. Plea,se report the location of Purple Loosestrife. The DISTRICT <br />will enforce this policy by contracting with the CONTRACTOR to properly remove, <br />bag, and dispose of any cut pieces of the plant if it is mowed. <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />UTE LADIES'-TRESSES ORCHID (SPlRANTHES DILUVIALISj. The DISTRICT <br />is assisting the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to preserve a rare orchid commonly <br />called the Ute Ladies' -Tresses Orchid. This orchid is located within wetland areas. It <br />has been found in several counties along the front range. It is a federal offense to <br />disturb these orchids. The DISTRICT has enclosed a one page pamphlet with color <br />photos and a description of Ute Ladies' -Tresses Orchid within the routine <br />maintenance aerials. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />If an orchid is found, DO NOT DISTURB: CONTACT DISTRICT <br />IMMEDIA TEL Y with the location of the orchid. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />25 <br />
