Hecox: two critical studies (Republican River and Upper Counties) in near future;
thus, would be beneficial to have conversation with members on the Roundtable
that might be willing to be an applicant-entity.
McVicker: Will send email to upper county reps to discuss who will take lead on
the application.
Shimmin: RE: Republican River application: Got email from Bill Warmack who
is consultant working on Republican River, some of these reps need to be advised
of need to take lead; would be a good idea to actively invite them to come so they
see need to take active lead in discussions.
Iseman: Nature Conservancy has ranch in Republican Basin so Nature
Conservancy would be interested in helping and developing proposal.
Evans: Another issue re: Republican: Should this be a basin account or statewide
since it was not looked at in any manner in SWS I I, would perhaps be appropriate
for statewide.
Shimmin: This is one of the reasons that we need discussion with the entire
regIOn.

Jerke: Few remaining issues to discuss:
1) Ralf Topper: In Boulder County presentation, one aspect of interest was
consumptive use in regards to individual septic systems: current state of
research in this area: Ralf will provide handout with synopsis of research and
resources; CO School of Mines has done most recent research in mountain
community with septic use; Eileen Poeter: prof at Mines will do small
presentation at next meeting on this issue.
2) Non-consumptive work group: Isseman would like to make presentation to
roundtable
3) Communication liaison to IBCC for educational workplace; Walter
Knudsen will speak with Eric Hecox on this.
4) RE: Support/opposition letters for projects that may come to us during the
public comment process; need to consider various positions: seems as though
part of our mandate is to support projects: super majority if 60% or greater;
have notification before meeting; consider this for next month's agenda.
5) Metro meeting in June or go to South Park for meeting?
McVicker: Best to wait to July for South Park meeting; allow for
confirmation and discussion with Center of Colorado Water Conservancy
District, Upper South Platte Water Conservancy District, Park County and
Bailey Municipal rep.
Eric Hecox: June: Possible Joint meeting with Metro Roundtable: Review of
rotational efforts: CSU workshop prior to the roundtable meeting: Dr. James
Pritchett "Enhancing Understanding of Agricultural Water Management
Seminar"
--SWSI II: Alternatives to Ag Dry Up
--Parker Study on the South Platte
--Additional info on Arkansas Efforts

11
