Standard Reports: <br />1. IBCC Report: Mike Shimmin: The 3/2 IBCC meeting was postponed to <br />March 30. <br /> <br />2. Groundwater sub-committee report: Joe Frank reports: <br />Report in by March 1 2007. Joe will make a presentation at the April <br />meeting. Harold Evans points out that the full report can be seen at the <br />CWCB website. Harold reiterated what Joe mentioned last meeting: the <br />repOli is interesting to read to see what was NOT looked at. <br /> <br />3. Legislative Report: Diane Hoppe, Mike Shimmin <br /> <br />HB 1328: New bills that have been introduced of concern; set new <br />direction for CWCB, one in particular that introduces water quality into <br />the CWCB; concern about funding; severance taxes is another issue that is <br />being looked at as the water bills go through the process; severance tax <br />income is down; production is down for gas and petroleum; lots of bills <br />counting on severance tax funding but won't know that until funding <br />sources are identified. <br />HB 1329: increase funds for water quality for permits for drinking water <br />HB 1332: funding bill for small water projects; source of funding <br />inappropriate: Construction Fund Bill in the process; <br />Senate Joint Resolution 19: RE: SuppOliing Chatfield Reallocation <br />Funding; funding in jeopardy and state legislature wants to express <br />support. <br />RE: Bill concerning reservoir operations: want to review operations <br />without introducing a bill. <br />RE: Bill increasing number of judges in the courts; hope that there would <br />be an increase for water judges; bill is hung up in senate; concern for <br />dockets; currently, taking more than one year to get on docket in Rio <br />Grande. <br /> <br />1 <br />
