<br />Traci: Currently, 20,600 ac ft of storage that is not being utilized; estimated <br />yield approximately 7,000 acft. <br />Bob Streeter: IfEIS is completed, and 20,600 ft reallocated, what structural <br />changes to dam? <br />Traci: No changes to dam; two mitigation costs: 1) recreational 2) <br />environmental; Preble habitat and cotton wood trees; EIS will be <br />accompanied with costs of mitigations. There will be operational changes; <br />greater fluctuation. <br />Bob: how many acres will be affected? <br />Traci: up to ponds, environmental mitigation will look at that <br />Bob: 20,600 ac ft: what percentage of needs? <br />Traci: The Douglas County component of SWSI: 50,000 ac ft gap, <br />therefore this would be 2/5 of gap; Douglas County is looking at 11,000 ac <br />ft of this. Downstream: 45% of water, 9700 ac ft of storage; thus, Metro <br />being asked to pay more <br />Philo: Who on list of 15 beneficiaries is from South Platte? <br />Mc Vicker: Center of Colorado Water Conservancy District <br />And Central Colorado Water Conservancy District <br />Frank: Split lower and upper stream users; all signed a contract to agree not <br />to release all water at once so that there would be water in the river during <br />winter for augmentation and urban use.
