<br />Bert: ongoing effort: but we have been using sales tax from County; so we <br />will continue forward without this; <br /> <br />John Metli: what is purpose and final destination for these reservoirs? <br /> <br />Bert: Storage capacity; storage for economic development in Clear Creek <br />County and benefits that go with basin as a whole; as high altitude storage; <br />conservation because of low evaporation. <br /> <br />Mike: purpose is basin-wide augmentation plan? <br />Bert: To date, have gone forth with collaborative effort with city of golden <br /> <br />Harold: current supplies from wells? Will this continue to be your supply <br />in the future? <br />Paul with Applegate: Physical water source will be used from wells <br />Bob Streeter: is this all for Clear Creek or would you be marketing this <br />outside of Clear Creek? <br />Bert: yes, not sure how much <br />Harold: why would you deliver outside of clear creek if you need it for <br />your own economic development? <br />Bert: hope to have that much <br />Jerke: if you have an 05 right, would you not be called out? <br />Paul: these reservoirs would also be used to store senior rights that county <br />is slowly buying; in a good year, Clear Creek is a major source to South <br />Platte; <br />Bert: other independent studies involving ground water recharge and other <br />existing sites that are examples of partnerships with downstream water <br />users <br />Thus: trying to analyze feasibility of small reservoir sites to augment <br />Total ac ft: 925 ac ft of storage among 9 different reservoirs. <br />Frank Eckhardt: re: priority dates: sr water rts fi"om west slope; Henderson <br />Mine sr rights. <br />Harold: from basin account, yes? <br />Jerke: summary of amount so far: $52,000 <br /> <br />Janet: concerns about small and mral counties that are not affluent and <br />don't have a lot of money; that patt of intent of legislation was that this <br />fits well with the intent of the legislature to make sure that there is money <br />available for these kinds of counties. <br /> <br />Bert: we have customers now and have acquired these options over the <br />course of 14 years and are an example of this; new example: Eco <br />Mountain Terrain Park: new ski park for Clear Creek county as new <br />economic force and that needs water. <br /> <br />Harold Evans: Motion to duly accept this request <br /> <br />13 <br />
