<br />7. If severe flooding is occurring inform Chairman or Chairman Pro-tern of the Board <br />of Directors. <br />8. If severe flooding is occurring notify CWCB and Colorado DEM. Discuss <br />possibility of putting aerial photographer on stand-by. Only Browning and <br />McAuliffe can authorize CWCB funds for aerial photography. <br />9. Maintain written record of all actions taken using the log form in the appendix. <br />2. AFTER WORKING HOURS <br />A. Message 1 (Nuisance Flood Advisory or Message 2 (Flash Flood Watch) <br />1. Advise everyone on the staff who can be reached. Determine availability of <br /> <br />cameras. <br /> <br />2. Staff members should attempt to remain available. <br />3. Notify someone from CWCB. <br />4. Notify someone from LRE. Ask them to have someone available, if possible, to <br />respond to District request for assistance. <br />5. Develop rough plans to respond to a flood utilizing the personnel available, <br />including allocation of people and cameras to the areas under a flood advisory or <br />watch. <br />6. Engineer in charge stays at home to coordinate other staff members and outside <br />help. <br />B. Increasing Flood Potential (Update to Message 1 or 2) <br />1. Go through above check list and firm up possible assignments of personnel. <br />2. Discuss situation with GWS/Skyview. <br />3. Consider informing Chairman or Chairman Pro-tern of Board of Directors for <br />Message 2 updates only. <br />4. If situation warrants send personnel to affected areas. <br />5. Personnel sent to affected areas report back on what they find. <br />C. Message 3 (Flash Flood Warning) <br />1. Review above checklists. Firm up any assignments still in doubt. <br />2. Notify CWCB and Colorado DEM that a warning has been issued. <br />3. Send personnel to affected areas if not done previously. <br />4. Notify the emergency communications center(s) in the affectedjurisdiction(s) that <br />personnel are responding to the flood scene. Provide the dispatcher with the <br />name(s) of the individuals responding. <br />5. Personnel in field should immediately inform the Incident Commander (i.e., police <br />or fire official in charge) of their presence and report back on what they find. If <br />flooding is occurring, take pictures and document observations. <br />6. One staff member should remain at a location, either home or at the office, to <br />coordinate the others.
